Paralakhemundi,(Tarini Prasad Panda): Centurion Public School, Paralakhemundi, celebrated its 17th Annual Day on Monday evening with an impressive blend of cultural performances and entertainment on its school premises. The event drew enthusiastic participation from students, parents, teachers and distinguished guests.
Professor D.N. Rao, Vice President of Centurion University, attended the programme as the Chief Guest, accompanied by his wife, Mrs. D. Padma. Shri Radhakanta Bhuyan, Principal of SKCG Autonomous College, graced the occasion as Guest of Honour. Senior officials from Centurion University, including Dr. Durga Prasad Padhi, Director Administration; Dr. S.P. Nanda, Dean Admin (MSSOA); and Dr. Prajna Pani, Dean, School of Management, were also present.
The celebration commenced with the National Anthem and a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, followed by a melodious welcome song by the students.
School Principal Mrs. Sunita Panigrahee presented the Annual Report, highlighting academic achievements, cultural accomplishments, sports excellence and students participation in various competitions. She thanked the teaching staff for their dedication and the parents for their continuous support. Teachers were honoured for their long and commendable service and meritorious students received awards for their outstanding academic and co-curricular achievements.
A vibrant series of cultural programmes-including traditional and contemporary dance, music performances, creative presentations and a Taekwondo demonstration-captivated the audience. Themes such as Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, Odisha’s unification, Indian cultural diversity and colourful state dances added charm to the evening.
