Brief of the case:
- On 28.11.2024 one Anil Das (23), S/O. Pratap Das of Gramadebati Sahi, Berhampur, PS. Badabazar appeared at PS and presented a written report alleging that eight month back the accused persons namely Kalia, Sanotsh, Roshan and Bhagaban of Hadi Sahi near City High School Ground and Gundu of Dhanamera Sahi assaulted his friend Subham Sahu.
For amicable settlement, Anil Das along with Raja Nayak, Amar Das, Dillip Das went to Binayak College ground as the accused persons called them there. At Binayak College ground, Kalia, Roshan, Sanotsh, Bhagaban and Gundu armed with lethal weapons intending to kill them abused them in filthy languages and attacked causing injuries using sword and they also threw bombs towards them.
Gundu Behera who was armed with a sword attacked his head, but he escaped and the fatal blow hit his left arm causing bleeding injury.
All 5 accused persons brutally assaulted Raja Nayak who sustained severe bleeding injuries in his palm, knee and foot.
During course of investigation, The weapon of offence 2 iron swords, one live bomb and remunants of exploded bomb has been seized. 3 accused persons along with one JCL have been apprehended on 30.11.24 and are being forwarded to the Court today U/s 296/191(2)/191(3)/ 115(2)/118(1)/117(2)/109(1)/ 308(2)/190 BNS/25/27 Arms Act/4 & 5 E.S Act and one accused person namely Roshan Mrudangia @ Trinath is yet to be arrested. The investigation of the case is in progress.
