Berhampur, Though a hardly a week left,as many 2,88,264 ration card holders in Ganjam district has not done their e-kyc.The state govt has announced for e-kyc of card holders on 15/2/2025 orelse to deduct their cards.To update the e-kyc the name of the ration card holders stored on online in 661 centres functioning in the district.However so far only 23,60,263 beneficiaries updated their e-kyc.Meanwhile as many 9097 ineligible ration card holders including some govt employees has been detected in Ganjam district.To streamline the public distribution system,the state govt e-kyc system for the ration card holders and also warned to face stringent action,if the ineligible beneficiaries not returned their cards by january 31st.However so far only 251 card holders returned their ration cards.Following the verification,ineligible beneficiaries list of rural and urban areas has been prepared.While the highest of 612 fake ration cards found in Ganjam block in the district,the BeMC limits has 599 fake cards.Each card holder,made it mandatory to include in e-kyc and a list has already been prepared at state level,which sent to different districts.Ganjam district civil supply officer,Puspa munda said there are 7,93,996 ration cards,with a family member of 26,62,478 has been given.Of which,e-kyc of 23,60,885 beneficiary family members has been updated.According to the ineligible list while Aska block has 357 ineligible card holders and the number of Aska NAC is 64.Similarly Beguniapada block has 316 fake cards,Belaguntha block has 331 fake cards and Belaguntha NAC has 40.BeMC has 599.Bhanjanagar block has 424 and Bhanjanagar NAC has 124.Buguda block has 187 and Buguda NAC has 53.Chatrapur block has 595 and Chatrapur NAC has 171.Chikiti block has 417 and Chikiti NAC has 28,Dharakote block has 226,Digapahandi block has 299 and Digapahandi NAC has 46.Ganjam block has 612 and Ganjam NAC has 40.GOpalpur NAC has 9.Hinjili block has 138 and Hinjili municipality has 97.Jaganathprasad block has 259,Kabisuryanagar block has 261 and Kabisuryanagar NAC has has 76.Khalikote block has 474 and khalikote NAC has 78.Kodola NAC has 38,Kukudakhandi block has 279,Patrapur block has 326,Polosara block has 240 and Polosara NAC has 47.Purusotompur block has 252 and Purusotompur NAC has has 68.Rambha NAV has 57,Rangeilunda block has 352,Sanakhemundi block has 372,Sheragada block has 253,Soroda block has 418 and Soroda NAC has 74 ineligible ration card holders who illigally lifted the commodities from public distribution system,depriving the genuine beneficiaries.The irony is that before inclusion of a beneficiary and his family,their Aadhar card,Voter I Card are being verified by the concerned area Sarapanch which duly endorsed by the marketing officer.The list again verified by the Asst CSO,before the approval of CSO.Besides as per official records,the marketing officer verifies the stock and ration cards,still the ineligible cards existed,what surprised the public.However,the civil supply office,frequently asked over phone to the ineligible card holders to return orelse, face stringent action.
