Bhanjanagar:Two persons including a woman and a minor killed and another 12 persons sustained injuries when a pick up van on which they boarded overturned near Kaliagoda under Gangapur police limits in Ganjam district,today.The deceased were identified as Chandrama Gouda(30) and Badal Gouda(160.Sources said,at 9 am today,a group of 15 persons from Baghalingi village left for a goddess shrine at Sanaborosing village to attend a feast.However at the spot,the driver lost his control and the van hit a culvert before turned turtle.Soon,the locals rescued the passengers and brought to Bhanjanagar hospital.However,the doctors declared two of them brought dead and admitted the other 12 injureds including 8 women.Later,the condition of five worsened and were shifted to MKCGMCH.On being informed Bhanjanagar sub-collector Uma sankar behera,belaguntha tehsildar Kalakrushna pradhan,Add SP Ranjan kumar dey met the injureds at the hospital.
