Kashinagar:Discontentment prevails among the residents of Ippaguda,Minigaon,Jaganathpur etc villages under K.Sitapur panchayat in Kashinagar block of Gajapati district, following callous attitude by the authorities towards communication system. The only connecting road to the village is a soil road, which turns muddy even in a small rain.As a result of which the commuters, particularly the students and aged ppersons face immense problem to walk on the road.Meanwhile,Sitapur Sarapanch K.Tejeswar in a letter addressed to chief minister and copy to Gajapati Collector,PD DRDA,kashinagar BDO has urged to expedite the wroks under MGNREGS in his panchayat, which stopped since last year.He stated that, the panchayat has a population of 10,000 families, but most of the villages sans pucca road.Last year, the panchayat has sent a proposal to the district administration for construction of road under MGNREGS.But the proposals deliberatedly kept pending. Now while the muddy roads posed serious problems to commute,in the absence of employment, many youths left for other states in search of work.He urged the CM to issue necessary direction for approval and excution of the pending development works.
