Chikiti:One person killed and seven others injured,when lightning stuck them in three different places in Ganjam district on friday.The deceased has been identified as Siba paik(48)of Haripur in Chikit block.Paik along with three others while were grazing their goat,they were hit by lightning.Soon the local brought them to Bomkoi hospital,where Paik was declared brought dead.The injured three after first aid sent to MKCGMCH.Chikiti tehsildar Biswaranjan kanhar visited the spot.In another incidents two each persons including one woman injured being hit by lightning at Khairapanka and Belapanthi village under Digapahandi block.The four injureds admitted to Digapahandi hospital and later shifted to MKCGMCH.
