Paralakhemundi,(Tarini Prasad Panda): Cyber crime awareness programmes were conducted at three schools in Gajapati district on Tuesday to sensitise students and teachers about the growing threat of online fraud and cyber offences.
A programme was held at Government PM Shri High School, Rayagada, where students were sensitised about various types of cyber fraud, misuse of social media and preventive measures for safe and responsible use of the internet.
Similarly, a cyber awareness programme was conducted at Anagha High School, Anagha, at 11 a.m. Students were educated about cyber threats and the precautions necessary to protect themselves in the digital environment.
At Gurandi High School, Gurandi Police Station conducted a cyber awareness campaign for students and teachers. They were apprised of recent cyber crime incidents and guided on ways to remain vigilant and protect themselves from online fraud and other cyber threats.
The programmes emphasised the need for cyber vigilance, responsible social-media use and safe internet practices, particularly among young users.
