Paralakhemundi, (Tarini Prasad Panda):Before Collector Gajapati,for proposed Cheligada project those displaced families again knocked to fulfill their demands. Various demands yet not fulfilled.Since 2005 this project started.Those displaced families were assured of 5 acres land with 10 decimals land for housing.But till now those assurances are yet to be activated.For this project villages like Akili,Tiligaon,Suguna, Chadhiapada, Bidyadharpur will be affected.Though compensations given to some families,yet for cultivable land identification yet to be done.While interacted with Collector Madhumita,she said their demand on compensation & land distributions shortlisted. But they are demanding more,which is above guidelines.After discussion with those displaced a concrete report sent to State Administration.After clarification their demands will be undertaken.On retrospect President of Displaced families association Chaitanya Sahu & Sarpanch of Cheligada panchayat Santoshi Paik said that administration is deceiving their legitimate demands. Their survival is still a litmus test,they added.
