Kolkata:With the enquary by the CBI into the RK Kar hospital taken up speed,Doctors from various hospitals in Kolkata revived their agitation.Today the doctors staged a protest rally in the city,expressing dissatisfaction with the conviction of prime accused Sanjay Roy in the RG Kar rape-murder case and demanded that the CBI bring to justice all those allegedly involved in the crime.Junior and senior doctors from city-based state-run hospitals, including RG Kar hospital,has took out a rally from outside the Sealdah court, said their protest would continue until the truth behind the crime was fully revealed,They said,when Sanjay has been convicted,why others involved in the crime not nabbed so far.They also questioned why the CBI did not file any supplementary chargesheet.Alleging that the crime scene had been tampered with,the doctors said,despite clear evidence of the presence of multiple semen samples on the victim’s body,no further arrested were made.Demanding immediate arrest of, those responsible for tampering with evidence the agitating doctors also distributed leaflets, listing the 20 questions, to the public seeking solidarity to their agitation.Last year,the special court convicted Sanjay Roy for the rape and murder of a junior woman doctor of state-run R.G. Kar Medical College & Hospital.Sources said the CBI had already informed the special court that the scope for filing a supplementary charge sheet on the tampering of evidence angle is still open, which keeps the case in this particular angle pending.
