Rayagada, As many 10 minors,students of Boriguda school under Kolnara block in Rayagada district fell sick after consuming poisonous berry today.Sources said,around 11 students from standard 1 to Vth ate the berry,while returning home from school.However,after reaching home,10 of the students aged between 5-12 and including three girls,complained stomach pain and started vomiting.When enquired by their parents,the kids told about eating of the berry.Soon their parents took them to a nearby health facility and after preliminary treatment reffered to Rayagada District Headquarters Hospital.However,another girl who also ate the berry has no effect and normal.The condition of the ten at thehospital are stable and are under supervision said the doctors.Meanwhile, Rayagada legislator Kadraka Appala Swamy visited the hospital to take stock of the situation and discussed with the DHH authorities about the treatment of the kids.
