Paralakhemundi, Paralakhemundi police in Gajapati district has solved the mystery of acid attack on a advocate by arresting two persons from Vishakhapatanam today,after around 54 days of the incident.The two arrested persons has been identified as D.Venket rao(37)of Paralakhemundi and D.Satish(41) of Vishakhapatanam.In november last year,while victim advocate P.Rama rao was alone in his residence,the two arrested persons,reached there on a motorcycle.While one of the two,were waiting with starting motorcycle another reached the house of thee advocate and pressed the calling bell.Once the advocate opened the door,the youth threw acid on the body of the advocate and fled from the spot on the motorcycle with his associate.Soon the advocate was taken to hospital and he lodged a complaint with police.Basing on it police registered a case and started investigation.Since the victim advocate unable to reason out the acid attack on him,policee had formed a special team led by IIC,Prashant bhupati to probe the incident.On the otherhand the advocates of Paralakhemundi Bar association resorted to agitation.They staged dharana several times demanding the arrest of accused.During investigation the police examined the CCTV footage from the locality and got the pix of the two attackers.Later the two attackers has been identified,but were hiding.Yesterday,the probing team got a tip off about the two hiding in Vishakhapatanam and soon the team reached there and nabbed the two today,besides seized the motor cycle used in the crime and a mobile phone from the accused duo.However,the reason of acid attack not yet known said police adding that further interrogation of the duo is on.
