TSSEZL TO TRANSFORM INTO A INDUSTRIAL HUB

Brahmapur: Chatrapur(Ganjam)Tata Steel Special Economic Zone Limited (TSSEZL), strategically located in Odisha’s coastal district of Ganjam, is fast gaining momentum as a leading industrial hub of eastern India.Poised to become India’s key hub for green energy, TSSEZL’s Gopalpur Industrial Park (GIP) has attracted investments in the green energy sector exceeding ?27,000 Crore.The Park,provides state-of-the-art infrastructure, and offers a hassle-free environment for businesses to thrivsaid a release by TSSEZL today.It revealed that,In recent developments,TSSEZL has signed agreements with four companies to establish manufacturing units for green hydrogen and its derivatives, such as green ammonia, within the Gopalpur Industrial Park. The companies onboarded include Acme Group, Avaada Group, Hygenco, and the Ocior Energy with a total production capacity of 2 MnTPA of green ammonia.The green hydrogen and ammonia produced by these industries will be primarily exported to the European and East Asian markets via the existing Gopalpur Port. To facilitate this, the Government of Odisha, through IDCO, is rapidly developing a dedicated Utility Corridor between the industrial park and the port. In parallel, TSSEZL is continuously enhancing its internal infrastructure, including road networks and drainage systems, to support industrial operations.Beyond green energy, TSSEZL is actively engaging with industries from various sectors, including solar cell and module manufacturing, chemicals, and metals, to establish their operations in the industrial park. The park already hosts five operational units that include Tata Steel’s Ferro Alloys Plant and Tata Consumer Product’s largest unit in India. Additionally, the Technical Ammonium Nitrate Complex of Deepak Fertilisers and Petrochemicals is progressing swiftly towards completion.Currently, the Gopalpur Industrial Park employs approximately 1,800 people, with this number expected to rise significantly as more industries commence operations,the release stated.
