Bhubaneswar: When the rulling BJP facing a political tsunami over the Sambalpur MLA Jayanarayan Mishra’s controversial remark on Odisha’s territorial history, the opposition Biju Janata Dal on Tuesday sought a response from Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on the issue.As the Chief Minister not coming to the House for the last two days, the BJD MLAs launched a symbolic search for him on the Assembly premises holding lanterns on their hands.The BJD legislators have gone from room to room in the Assembly premises looking for the Chief Minister. They also staged a sit-in in front of the CM’s chamber.Meanwhile, the Congress MLAs agitated over the alleged increase in the crimes against women in the state.The Assembly witnessed an uproar when members of the ruling BJP and opposition Congress scuffled in the well of the House prompting Speaker Surama Padhy to adjourn the proceedings.
