Berhampur: A viraled video clipping,has brought the police in silk city on its toes.The clipping displays that,a group of miscreants brutally attacking a street dog with a sword in Berhampur.The incident,which took place around 4 AM on Saturday at Gandhinagar,was recorded in CCTV at the spot.As the clipping virals it has sparked widespread outrage in the city.The clippings shows that,6 persons on two bikes attacked the street dog,what barked seeing them.Later another youth also attacked the already injured dog,leaving it critically injured.Since the injured dog ran for its life from one varandha to another,its blood stains found in the morning,what caused a commotion in the area,as initially it was suspected of human blood.Soon the CCTV footrage of the houses st the spot examined and the attack on dog incident cameout.The locals also treated the dog,which used to bark after seeing persons in odd hours.The incident has raised many eyebrows as to why the groups were carrying swords at wee hours and whether they had other criminal intentions.The brutal act has drawn condemnation from animal rights activists and concerned citizens,who are demanding strict action against the attackers group.Though no complaint lodged with police,but the police started suo motto investigation.Incidently,bike borne miscreants has snatched a gold chain of a morning walker woman later on yesterday morning.
