Berhampur: Ganjam collector Dibya jyoti parida has partcipated in the ‘Khadi Chhuan’ ritual today,an age-old tradition,marks a child’s first writing experience using chalk on a slate,symbolising the beginning of formal education.As scheduled,accompined by the officials of district education dept,Parida at Putigopalpur village commemced the Khadi chuan,soon after the programme was launched officially by the chief minister Mohon charan majhi at Bhubaneswar for schools across the state.Earlier,Parida had distributed invitation letters to the families of the children who would be admitted to schools.The Pravesh ustav organised at 2613 schools across Ganjam district,including 1671 primery and 942 upper primery schools.Children in the age group of 5-6 years has been admitted in the pre-school.The admission would continue for another three days till 5/4/2025 and classes will be held from 10 am to 4 pm.As per the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 guidelines,Sishu Vatikas will offer preschool education to the fresh admitted children and their classes will held with the existing infrastructure and staffs.Parida also distributed school bags to the freshers,besides flagged off the vehicle`Pravesh ustav-Khadi chuan and Sabhien school jiba`.The collector also requested all the govt staffs to wear Odia trational dress while attending their duties,besides to take a selfie and to post in the district portal.
