Valedictory Ceremony and Prize Distribution of 3rd AIU Women Students’ Parliament Concludes at CUTM

Paralakhemundi: April 4 2025: The grand finale of the 3rd AIU (Association of Indian Universities) Women Students’ Parliament concluded with an inspiring valedictory ceremony and prize distribution event held at Centurion University of Technology and Management (CUTM), Paralakhemundi campus. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 30 universities across India, making it a true celebration of women’s voices, leadership, and empowerment.Lovely Professional University, Punjab emerged as the champions of this prestigious parliamentary conclave. Jiwaji University, Gwalior secured the position of first runner-up, while Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University and Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University were adjudged second and third runners-up, respectively. The event marked the culmination of three days of intense debates, thoughtful deliberations, and inspiring speeches by young women leaders from across the nation.The Chief Guest of the valedictory ceremony was Smt. Gouthu Sireesha, Hon’ble MLA from Palasa, who delivered a powerful and emotional address to the audience. Drawing from her own journey in politics, she spoke about the challenges she overcame as a woman and how perseverance, confidence, and education are key to achieving success. “Women today are not just participants but pioneers of change,” she stated, encouraging the students to take active roles in shaping the nation’s future.The event was graced by several eminent dignitaries from CUTM. Prof. D. N. Rao, Vice President of CUTM, delivered a thought-provoking speech on women empowerment and highlighted the evolving role of women in Indian society and governance. He praised the participants for their eloquence and confidence, asserting that such platforms are crucial for nurturing future leaders.Prof. P. K. Mohanty, Vice Chancellor of CUTM Andhra Pradesh, and Prof. Biswajit, Pro Vice Chancellor of CUTM, were also present along with members of the distinguished jury who adjudicated the parliamentary sessions throughout the three days.The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Mr. Durga Prasad Padhi, Director of Administration, CUTM Paralakhemundi Campus. He expressed gratitude to the participants, universities, organizing committee, jury members, and dignitaries for making the event a grand success. He also acknowledged the relentless efforts of the students and faculty members who worked tirelessly behind the scenes.The 3rd AIU Women Students’ Parliament at CUTM was not just a competition but a celebration of women’s leadership, resilience, and vision for a better tomorrow.
