Balangir: One person was critically injured as a fire broke out at at the Ordnance Factory located at Badmal in Odisha’s a Balangir district on Wednesday.As per preliminary information, the fire erupted in Unit 6 of the Ordnance Factory located under the jurisdiction of Saintala police station during the handling of explosive materials by an employee.The employee, who sustained severe burn injuries, has been identified as Shivashankar Bhoi. He was initially rushed to a medical facility at Badmal and later shifted to a hospital in Rourkela for treatment.Following the incident, local residents have expressed concern over the safety measures at the factory, underlining the need for stringent safeguard measures during handling of explosive materials.
