Phiringia : A 34 year old man was murdered brutally under Phiringia PS limits in Kandhamal district today.The deceased has been identified as Prabhat malik of Jargipada village and was working as a private driver.Sources said yesterday he left his home on his cycle,but didnot returned.The family started search for him but failed to trace him,even his phone found switched off.Today morning,some locals found a man with multiple injuries lying on the roadside in between Kelapada and Bhrunijodi village and informed the police.Soon,the IIC Gopinath pradhan with scientific team and sniffer dog reached the spot and started investigation.Hearing the information family members of the deceased reached the spot and and identified him as Prabhat.Since the body has multiple injuries and also stones with blood stains,it was suspected that Prabhat might crushed to death by unidentified miscreants.While the circumstantial evidences indicated that Prabhat has been killed,police registered a murder case.Investigation is on to nab the culprits and to ascertain the reason of death,said the IIC adding that the body has been sent for autopsy.
