Berhampur : Berhampur police has started a drive against Drunken driving and Triple riding.All police stations of Berhampur Police district conducted special drive for the last two days.During the special drive 26 persons were caught driving consuming alcohol more than the permissible limit. Criminal cases were registered against these riders and their vehicles have been seized.Similarly drive against triple riding and using mobile phone while riding was conducted simultaneously. A total of 47 such violations were detected. Criminal cases have been registered and the vehicles have been seized.In the 2 days alone, Traffic Police detected 9 drunken driving cases , Badabazar PS detected 5 drunken driving cases , Town Police station detected 4 drunken driving cases , Jarada PS 3 drunken driving cases and Digapandi PS 2 drunken driving cases.All are requested to respect traffic laws and support Police administration in their efforts against ensuring safe roads for everyone,said the Berhampur SP,Dr Saravana Vivek M.ପି
