Paralakhemundi,(Tarini Prasad Panda):The School of Nursing, Centurion University of Technology and Management, Paralakhemundi Campus, in collaboration with District Headquarters Hospital (DHH), observed World Pneumonia Day on November 12, 2025, under the theme “Every Breath Counts: Stop Pneumonia Now.”
The program aimed to raise awareness about pneumonia prevention, early detection, and management. Ms. Subhasree Panigrahi highlighted the importance of respiratory health, vaccination, proper hygiene, and nutrition. Students conducted educational activities at DHH, including health talks, poster presentations, demonstrations, and interactive sessions. Respiratory exercises were demonstrated by Ms. Nibedita, handwashing techniques by Pathuru Kavyasree, and a flash card activity by Sonali Behera and Sarada Sethy.
The program was coordinated by Sonali Behera (3rd Semester) under faculty guidance. The program concluded with a vote of thanks and successfully promoted public awareness of pneumonia prevention, showcasing the vital role of nurses in community health.
