Buguda,(Anil Kumar Maharana): The 49th Foundation Day of Buguda People’s College was celebrated on 30/7/26 with great pomp, solemnity and a new resolve towards educational excellence. Dr. Dayanidhi Raut, founder member of the college, participated as the chief guest in this ceremony. College Principal Bhagaban Satapathi presided over the meeting while IQAC Coordinator Lecturer Susanta Kumar Sahu coordinated the entire program smoothly. The annual report of the college was read out by IQAC Co-Coordinator Lecturer Atmaprakash Nayak. In it, the educational success, expansion programs and other notable achievements of the last year were presented. Vice-Principal Harikrishna Nayak was also present among the guests. One of the highlights of the occasion was the felicitation of former student Kasturi Acharyi of People’s College. Kasturi brought glory to the college by securing 38th rank in the recently published Odisha Civil Services examination. She was felicitation in the presence of all the heads of departments, faculty members, students and distinguished guests, which became a source of inspiration for the entire college family. On this occasion, students of various departments and successful talents of NCC, NSS, YRC, Bharat Scouts and Guides and sports associations were felicitated with certificates and specially prepared mementos. To further enrich the literary atmosphere, **The college’s annual magazine “Shubhankar”** was launched by the chief guest. Apart from this, a written message by Ram Narayan Sahu, one of the founder members of the college, was also read out for the audience present. Shankar Parida, lecturer, Department of Economics, expressed his gratitude to all the guests, faculty members, students, alumni and all those who contributed to the success of the program. Finally, the program concluded with a cordial lunch for all, which further strengthened the bond of the People’s College family. May this glorious journey of 49 years in developing knowledge, building character and building a bright future—may this streak of excellence continue in the days to come.
