Binjharpur,(Pradeep Kumar Mallick): Kharasrota College, a leading educational institution in Binjharpur Block, has set a remarkable example of humanity by extending support to flood-affected people. Demonstrating the true spirit of the saying, “Service to Humanity is Service to God,” the Principal, faculty members, and staff of the college collectively came forward to assist those affected by the devastating floods.
Responding to the appeal made by the Principal, Dr. Sudhanshu Kumar Das, all members of the college voluntarily contributed funds for the relief initiative. With the collected amount, 250 dry food packets were prepared and distributed among flood victims in Phalpur and Haladidihi villages.
Initially, relief materials were distributed among the waterlogged families of Phalpur village. Subsequently, with the assistance of the ODRAF team, the college members reached the remote and completely inundated Haladidihi village, where dry food packets were distributed to the stranded flood victims. The participants expressed satisfaction at being able to extend a helping hand to people in distress during this difficult time.
The relief programme was led by Principal Dr. Sudhanshu Kumar Das, along with faculty members Purnachandra Samal, Meenaketan Tripathy, Deepti Ranjan Senapati, Satyabrata Sethi, Bibek Meher, Nilamani Mallick, Debabrata Dhal, Satyanarayana Gupta, Ambika Prasad Jena, Kamal Kumar Sethi, Chandrahasya Mallick, Chandan Pati, Malay Kumar Das, Rajesh Prusty, Yasobantu Sahu, Dillip Barik, Biswaranjan Mallick, and Satyaranjan Nayak, who actively participated in the relief operation and personally reached out to the flood-affected people.
The humanitarian initiative undertaken by the Kharasrota College family has been widely appreciated across the locality. By demonstrating social responsibility and compassion during a time of crisis, the college has once again reaffirmed its commitment to society. Their selfless service has earned widespread praise from all sections of the community.
