Berhampur,In Ganjam, zero-night celebrations turned violent amid bloodshed at Gandapalli ODRP Colony under the jurisdiction of Rambha police station in the district.As manyt four youths injuried,when another group attacked them.Sources said,a group youths of Sabulia village were celebrating zero night in the premises of village temple near the colony.At mid night firing sound came from a house in the colony and the youths of Sabulia ran to the spot.But once they reached there,a group of youths who were present there attacked the Sabulia village youths with sharp weapon and also.Since the Sabulia youths tried to defend themselves,the attackers group fired on them and also hurled country bombs.While the Sabulia youths shocked over the sudden attack,the attacker group attacked them again and fled the spot,injurying four youths of Sabulia.Hearing the commotion,the villagers of Sabulia reached the spot and took them to Khalikote hospital.After first aid,the four has been reffered to MKCGMCH.Treating doctors at MKCG said while all the four sustained deep cuts,one of them identified as Ajay behera(24)has bullet injuries at two places.His X Ray has been taken to ascertain the bullets are in his body or not,said the doctors adding that the condition of all the four youths are serious.Meanwhile,Lingaraj behera(65),father of injured Ajay lodged a complaint with Rambha police.He stated that around four months back a man from Kodola took a houe in the ODRP colony on rent.Last night a group of Kodola on motor cycles reached there and a hitch took place with the man and the group.The group shot at the man,but the bullet missed.The firing sound attracted the attention of Ajay and his friends who were busy in cooking.As they reached the spot,the group of Kodola attacked them.Basing on the complaint,police registered a case and started a rpobe.A police team has been sentto Kodola to trace the attackers and to nab them said police.Though the exact reason of the incident not yet known,but preliminary investigation indicated that the violence was suspected to have triggered by a triangular love.After the incident uneasy prevails in the area.The locals has alleged that,the beneficiaries,who were allotted houses in the ODRP colony let their houses on rent,without verifying the genuinity of the tenants.As a result fo which,some with criminal back ground,taken houses in the colony on rent,what has affected the tranquility of Sabulia village.
