Berhampur,MP/MLA court in Berhampur has acquitted BJP ,MP of Berhampur Lok sabha constituency accused in two cases in the Tata Motors job fraud cases,today.Senior advocate Deepak patnaik,the counsel for MP,Pradeep said a total of five cases registered against the MP along with ex IFS Abhay pathak and his son Akash pathak.Today the hearing two cases 2225/20 registered at Golonthara PS wherein the complaint was Lakshmidhar nayak and the other case 511/21 registered at baidyanathpur PS,wherein the complaint Kartik pradhan,a police consteble,who also served as security officer of Pradeep,when he was Gopalpur MLA on BJD ticket,the court in its judgement acquitted Pradeep and Pathak father and son.The complainants of all the five cases admitted in court that they were pressured by senior district officials and BJD leaders to file complaints against Pradeep,said advocate Deepak Patnaik adding that the complaints has testified before the Berhampur JMFC Court that they had not engaged in any financial transactions with Pradeep and had signed complaint documents under pressures.The complainants even said the court that they never seen Pathak duo,said Deepak.Alleging fraud allegations against Pradeep that he has cheated them by falsely promising employment in an automobile company.Of the five cases registered against Pradeep,four lodged at Golanthara police station and one at Baidyanathpur police station.However,Pathak duo were also accused in related cases but are named in only one case each.The complaints originated from an investigation by the Crime Branch, which began after a case was initially filed at the Cuttack Cyber Police Station in 2020. After thorough inquiry, five cases of fraud were registered in Pradeep’s name.Advocate Deepak told TNIE that the court relief came after five complainants against the MP withdrew their statements in the court earlier.Three of the complaints has withdrew their statements on December 18 last year and the hearing of the three cases is slated for tomorrow,said Deepak.BJP MP,Pradeep was arrested by the CID Crime Branch(CB),Odisha on December 3, 2020 in connection with the alleged job scam. While he was in jail, the Orissa High Court granted him bail on June 11, 2021.Deepak said,since the complaints of the rest three cases already withdrew their complaints,all the allegations levelled against Pradeep the fate of the cases will favour him.
