Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, on Wednesday approved six major proposals of different departments.The Cabinet approved a proposal to sanction Rs 108 crore for constructing the Baitarani Left and Right Bank Canal and another Rs 108 crore for a mega irrigation project in Anandpur, Keonjhar district, to boost agricultural development.In healthcare, Rs 2,398 crore was allocated for the Emergency Medical Ambulance Services (EMAS) scheme, ensuring enhanced services over the next five years.The Cabinet approved a key amendment mandating a Graduation degree as the minimum educational qualification for the selection of Anganwadi Workers in the State.A proposal for creation of 24 posts in the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Department has been approved by the Cabinet.This was informed by Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja after the meeting.
