Paralakhemundi,(Tarini Prasad panda): Hatibadi of Paralakhemundi,since 1993 OMFED plant installed.That could cover to process daily 5000 litres collected milk from farmers.At the beginning with 20 staff that plant carried out. Later due to irregularities & least attachment of administration that plant lost its fragrance.Now with 2 staff that has been maintained. Moreover since last 5 months they are yet to get their salaries.With utmost difficulties daily hardly 500 litres are on process.Moreover on dominant role of border Andhrapradesh(AP)their milk companies are at ease to have their marketing too at Paralakhemundi.From milk farmers,where OMFED purchasing @₹35,compared to AP @₹50 per litre.Per litre their market price ₹60, where OMFED ₹56.Still demand flow declines of OMFED compared to AP’s Heritage,Vishakha & other companies. Their dominance,too,to accustom Gajapati milk farmers at their fold.On last Titli cyclone that plant devastated.Since 2006 production,too,on decline state.So need of renovation to upgrade the plant said Kumud Chandra Padhi,Manager of Paralakhemundi OMFED plant.
