BERHAMPUR (Sudip Kumar Sahu): The 80th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor at the Nandighosa Avenue Apartment complex, located in Jayaprakash Nagar 2nd Lane under the Berhampur Municipal Corporation.
The President of the apartment society, Damburudhar Gantayat, attended as the chief guest and unfurled the National Flag, which was followed by the collective singing of the National Anthem. Addressing the gathering, distinguished residents highlighted the historical significance of the day and urged everyone to actively contribute to the welfare of society and the nation.
As part of the Har Ghar Tiranga initiative, residents later marched through the locality proudly carrying the National Flag while chanting patriotic slogans such as Vande Mataram.
The celebration saw active participation from key office-bearers, including Vice President Sushanta Kumar Swain, Secretary Purna Chandra Khadanga, Assistant Secretary Surendra Nath Sahu, and Treasurer Sushree Nilima Reddy. Other prominent residents in attendance included Ramesh Sahu, Shyambabu Prusty, Lalit Rath, R. Surya Prakash Rao, Anita Sahu, Manjurani Gantayat, Minati Maharana, Varanasi Narmada, Juli Prusty, Banita Kumari Pradhan, Nalinipriya Sahu, and Samjukta Sahu, along with numerous other members of the society.
The program successfully concluded with the distribution of sweets among all the attendees.
