Berhampur, As many four persons,including an Additional Superintendent of Police of Ganjam, were seriously injured as their car overturned after hitting a roadside tree in Ganjam district today.Sources said,yesterday late night,the injured ASP,Ranjan dey,while was returning from his parental home in Balasore on his car along with wife Sujata dey and mother in law Sabita rout,to Bhanjanagar,the mishap took place at wee hours today at Saluapalli village under Bhanjanagar PS limits in Ganjam district.The locals,who rescued the inmates in the car by breaking open the window glass pans,said the car drove like a snake at the spot before hitting a tree,a house and turned turtle.Soon the three of ASP`s family and the car driver Krushna patra taken to the Bhanjanagar hospital.Later the four wereshifted to MKCG MCH.Though the exact reason of the mishap not yet ascertained,but suspected that the driver may have dozed off while driving due to heavy fog.Police are investigating the incident.
