BJP ANNOUNCED ITS DISTRICT CHIEFS

Berhampur, Putting a fullstop to all calculation,senior BJP leader Saroj sabat has been declared president of BJP,Ganjam district unit.Pratap mishra,BJP district election officer announced the name of Saroj in the meeting held today at Berhampur,in the presence of state party leaders and a host of party MLAs and Berhampur MP.The BJP state election officer pratap chandra sadangi in a letter today to Mishra stated that the proposals for selection of party district president and member for state council was considered carefully.The letter stated that While Saroj selected as president of district unit,B.Bishnu prasad subudhi and Manita dash has been selected as member to state council.Similarly Padma charan sahoo and Sarmistha pradhan selected as SC member for Chhatrapur and Paresh ratha for Digapahandi.Besides,Manoj sethi and Binod mishra has been elected for Gopalpur,the letter added.After announcement of Saroj,Berhampur MP,Pradeep panigrahy said under the leadership of Saroj the BJP will be strenghtned more.However,the election of Saroj has disheartened the other aspirants for the post.As such the BJP in Ganjam district was riddled with factionalism,with the oldtimers in one group and the new enterants in other group.Political anylists viewed that,the BJD while in power opened their door for all and many from different parties joined.However,due to lack of organisational control,groupism increased, which even led to clashes among the factions.The BJD also entrusted the party works with turncoats at several places and the oldtimers sidelined,which is the prime reason of BJD debacle in the last general election,the anylists said.Unlike BJD,BJP also opened its door for all and even fielded turn coats guaging their prospect of winning.The said candidates also won by fulfilling the aspirations of BJP higherups.However,as the new comers in BJP tried to take over control,a rift started between the old timers and turn coats.Keeping in mind of the BJD debacle,the BJP leaders also gauged the discontentment among the old timers and entrusted the party affair to them and kept the newcomers at a bay.The BJP leaders said there is no place for indiscipline in the party,what is a indirect warning to the persons,those are trying to make factions in the party.After became the president of Ganjam BJP,Saroj said,the BJP members are a family and all possible measures will be taken to maintain the unity of the party.He said`our priority will be for the development of the district,which is lagging behind.He also appealed the public to lend a helping hand to do good for the public.The saffron Party also has appointed new presidents for 23 of its 37 organisational districts in Odisha.The party will appoint new chiefs for the remaining 14 organisational districts later.The BJP has expedited the process for revamping its organization in the state. The party will appoint a new president for its Odisha unit soon after selecting new chiefs for its district units, sources said,Former minister Manmohan Samal had been appointed as the president of BJP Odisha unit in March, 2023.The party formed its maiden government in Odisha by defeating the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) in this year’s Assembly polls.However, Samal lost the Assembly polls from Chandabali seat in Bhadrak district.It is worth mentioning here that Samal had also served as the president of BJP in Odisha from 1999 to 2004.New presidents for BJP organisational districts:Ganjam—Saroj Sabat/Balangir—Sribatsha Behera/Puri—Debendra Tarai, Sundargarh—Girish Sahu/Dhenkanal—Rahas Bihari Behera/Kendrapara—Sasanka Sekhar Sethi, Balasore—Ishwar Chandra Behera/Cuttack City—Sukanta Biswal/Kalahandi—Jugal Podha, Mayurbhanj (Rairangpur)—Jurilal Mahant/Deogarh—Arun Kumar Sahu/Bargarh—Aroopanand Sahu,Ghumsar (Bhanjanagar)—Nilamadhab Patra.
