UNRULY STUDENTS BEAT UP CLASSMATES

Gunupur: Tension prevailed for sometime infront of Anwesha boys hostel in Gunupur town of rayagada district today,as several parents and locals gathered there demanding stringent action against the students,who assulted three students injuring them seriously.The viraled video clipping of beating up three students in Anwsha hostel has brought the administration into their toes.The clipping shows that some students brutally beat up three students,who are writhing in pain on ground.Surprisingly,the scene captured in mobile phone by other students and viraled in social media.As the clipping reached the administration,Gunupur sub-collector Kirandeep kaur sahota has directed the welfare officials to look into the matter.Today district welfare officer Asima rao with Gunupur PS,IIC Uttam kumar sahu reached the 100 beded Anwesha hostel near Gunupur Tehsil office to enquire the matter.They rescued the three injured students identified as Abhijit sabar of 9th standard,Uthapa sabar of 8 th std and Pabitra sabar 8th std and handed over to their parents for treatment.Asima also assured the gathering to initiate action against the guilty students.She said,the report after their enquary would be submitted to district collector.She further said,the hostel accomodates students of SC/ST from standard one to tenth and has a lady matron.The matron would be replaced with a male person soon,said the welfare officer adding that the erring students would be identified and will be shifted to other place.The welfare officer also recorded the statements of the three injured students and also interacted with other students.However,so far the students who beatup the students not traced in the hostel.While the video clipping proved the safty of students in the hostel,Zilla parishad member Egan gamango,Talana sarapanch Santoshi sabar,MP representative Taranisen satapathy and local BJP leaders expressed their serious concern before the welfare officer.The locals has alleged that,recently some inmates of the hostel were seen roaming in Gunupur town at mid night and also broke locks of some shops.As the locals chased them they entered the hostel and the locals returned back reprimanding them.
