LOVE-SEX-MURDER:

Tikabali:Dawn to dusk bandh observed at Tikabali in Kandhamal district passed peacefully today.Protesting the alleged gang rape and murder of a minor college girl,various organisation led by Tikabali traders association gave the bandh call.On saturday,skeletel remains of a girl was recovered from the foot hill at Ketamani near gajalbadi village under Soroda PS limits in Ganjam district.As a half burnt chudidaar,mobile phone,necklace its found along with the skleton,it was suspected as of a woman.Later,it was found that the skeleton is of a 16 year old girl of Tikabali.The deceased a first year plus two student was missing since february 27th and her family lodged a missing complaint with Tikabali police.Accordingly Soroda and Tikabali police started separate investigation.On sunday evening Tikabali police team led by IIC Rabindra kumar hembrum,apprehended four youths,hiding in a house on Odogaon of nayagarh district.The four identified as Bijay nayak(21),Sanjib sahu(20),Dipak sahu(22) and Chandan sethy(22).During interrogation the four broke down and confessed their crime.Of the four,Bijay had relation with the deceased girl.On 27/2/2025 Bijay asked the girl to come to Sankarakhol and the girl left her home on pretext of tution.In the evening on the incident day,from Sankarakhol,Bijay along with his friends Sanjib,Dipak and Chandan on a car reached Sarangagada.There they purchased some fruits and a knife,before proceeding to park at Daringibadi.As by the time the park was closed,they reached Gajalbadi and stayed near the Ketamani hill.There they forcibly raped her at around 10 pm and stabbed her to death.To hushup the evidence,they poured petrol on the body of the girl and set fire.After recording the confession of the four Tikabali police converted the registered missing case into a rape and murder case and arrested them on yesterday.Since the skeleton was recovered under Soroda PS limits,the four has been handedover to Soroda police.Soroda IIC Kailash chandra sahu said the four has been forwarded to court on yesterday.However further investigation is on to ascertain whether any other involved in the crime or not said IIC,Sahu.
