Chhatrapur: Chhatrapur police has arrested a 22 year old youth on the charge of raping a woman and duping her of gold ornaments and cash.The youth has been identified as M Rajesh Kumar Reddy of Chikalakhandi village and was working as a security guard in a private security agency.Police said,Reddy developed relationship with the woman, a mother of a 4 year old boy,by posing as a cop.During last 2 years,he took 75 grams of gold ornaments and Rs 2 lakh cash,promising to return them after his brother’s marriage held last year.However,he threatened her and her husband,when the woman demanded the money and gold back.The victim woman lodged a complaint on 25/3/2025 and during investigation police arrested reddy on yesterday.Reddy has been forwarded to court today.
