RAYAGADA: Two years back in 2023 Doctor Samir roy of Muniguda in Rayagada district died of believedly due to cardiac arrest at the age of 54 years,survived by his wife Sagarika,19 year old son Soroj and 17 year old daughter Ankita.His mortal remains were consigned into flames subsequently.Obviously,the demise was a great loss to the family and also created a vocume.As the the family often felt the absence of samir.After two years,Samir returned to his home in shape of live silicon statue,thanks to the sculptor of Kolkatta,who made the statue of Samir as live.Nodoubt Samir was the bread winner,but money is not a cretiera for the family as they owns a Pharmacy outlet,under the supervision of Sagarika.With the passsing of time,Soroj and Ankita took the charge of the outlet.But the three,often felt the absence of Sagar.Last year,one Prashant nayak of Berhampur installed a life size silicon statue of his deceased wife Kiran Nayak.The story was widely published in media,which stuck the mind of Sagarika,she discussed the matter with her two grownup kids and they decided to get back Samir in the shape of silicon statue.They searched for sculptors across the country and finaly got their choice at Kolkatta.Denying to name the sculptor,the family said it took around two years for the completion of the statue.On tuesday (2/4/2025)the statue brought to their home in Muniguda and installed on a chair.Prior to the arrival of the statue,the family made all preparations.Accordingly the family waited with priest at their home for Prana Pratishta(infusing life)of the statue.The statue of Samir is so perfect that,it present the impression of live Samir.Not only that Sagarika,who led a widow life now wearing bangles and sindur.Now the three are taking care of changing dress and to place the statue at different places in their house,what Samir used to do when he was alive.With the arrival of the statue,the family is now leading a happy life as earllier.The family,though relunctant to share detailed information,but said it is the grace of god and the destiny which filled the void in our life.
