Boudh: Three jawans of the 5th India Reserve Battalion (IRB) have been dismissed from service after 15.93 kg of ganja was seized from their possession at the Manamunda police barracks in Boudh district.On 25/3/2025,Boudh SP,Rahul Goel directed Manmunda police to conduct raid on its police barrack,resided by IRB jawans.During the raid,police,seized over 15 kgs of ganja from Havildar Kunar Singh(5 kg),Constable Trilochan Rana(7 kg), and Constable Neelam Baral(3 kg).Police arrested three and they were remanded to judicial custody,following which the three were placed under suspension. Meanwhile,the departmental enquary conducted,which confirmed the involvement of the three in contraband ganja dealing.The 5th IRB Battalion had been stationed in Manamunda to combat Naxal activities and ganja trafficking, making their misconduct a serious breach of duty.The three has been issued termination from service letter no-646,647 and 648 from commandant Manoranjan biswal today.
