Bhanjanagar:Gangapur police in Ganjam district has arrested one Jaganath das(33) and seized 92 pieces of gelatin and 78 pieces of electric detonators,today.Sources said,a 52 year old man killed and another man injured seriously in a explosion at a construction site under Gangapur PS limits,on yesterday.The deceased has been identified as C.Narayana murty,a labourer hails from Andhra.A private construction farm entrusted the construction of a bridge over river Badanadi to connect Nuagada-Jalkhai village.While digging for spur,boulder found and to blast it the farm used reportedly detonator,on yestrerday.However during the explosion,two labourers reportedly engaged at the site and while Narayana died at the spot another labourer N.krishna injured.Later C.Satish son of the deceased Narayana reported the matter to police.Basing on the complaint a case has been registered and after autopsy the body of Narayana was handed over to his family,said IIC,Subhakaxmi pujari.She said during investigation Jaganath was arrested and the explosives has been seized said the IIC adding that further investigation is on.
