Bhanjanagar:Jaganathprasad police in Ganjam district has nabbed 19 persons indulged in illigal gambling and seized over four lakhs rupees,today.Sources said,the illigal gambling den was functioning in a remote place in B.D.Pur and many persons in the area lost their properties.Basing on the information,Ganjam SP,Subhendu patra directed the police to conduct raid.Accordingly,Bhanjanagar SDPO Dipak Mishra with officers raided the place.While 19 persons were nabbed some others manged to escape to nearby forest.Police seized a cash of Rs 4.04 laks,from five bikes,two cars,playing cards and 17 mobile phones from their possession.A case has been registered and police is insearch of others indulged in the gambling.
