Berhampur, Gopalpur police nabbed a bike lifter and recovered 13 stolen motor cycles from his possession.On 24.07.2025, while ASI M.K. Jena along with Gopalpur police team were performing MV checking at Sandha Chhak they found one bike coming in a Black & Yellow Colour Hero Honda Passion motorcycle : OR-07G-2944 from Korapali side towards Gopalpur in a rash and negligent manner. Police team detained him and on demand he failed to produce any document in support of the Motorcycle or his D.L and on being asked he confessed his guilt and stated that he along with his friend Siba Reddy of village Gokarnapur, PS-Digapahandi have committed theft of the said motorcycle on 17.12.2024 from MKCG campus ground.Police seized the said Motorcycle and brought to PS and registered case against the accused Susanta Sethy. He confessed that, since last few months he along with his friend Siba Reddy have committed theft of 13 motorcycles from the different Police station areas of Berhampur and bordering areas of Ganjam. Out of them , bikes thieves had sold 7 bikes to different persons around Berhampur and rest 5 bikes have been kept hidden in his house. All the 13 motor cycles were recovered from his house and seized from the persons who had recieved the bikes as stolen property receivers.As there is prima-facie evidence well-made out U/s-303(2)/3(5) BNS against accused Susanta Sethy (32), S/o-Arakhita Sethy of village Sitalapali he was arrested and forwarded to Court today on 25.07.2025. he investigation of the case is in progress to arrest others.–_*Seized bikes*_:
