Paralakhemundi,(Tarini Prasad Panda): In a moment of pride and promise, four budding cricketers from the culturally rich land of Gajapati have carved their names on the national canvas by securing selection in the prestigious Under-17 national-level cricket.
These young talents had earlier showcased their brilliance by clinching the championship title at the state school-level Under-17 cricket tournament, heralding their arrival as players of remarkable potential. Their recent national selection now stands as a testament to their dedication, discipline, and undying passion for the game.
The promising quartet—Kotla Madhav, Santosh Kumar Lankapapulureddi Karthik, and Israla Bhargava Rao—carry with them the hopes and aspirations of an entire district.
They are set to join the Odisha team’s preparatory camp at Jajpur on April 19. Thereafter, they will proceed to Jacherla in Telangana, where they will participate in the national coaching camp from April 26 to May 1, further honing their skills amidst the country’s finest young cricketers.
As these rising stars embark upon their journey, waves of good wishes and encouragement have poured in from every corner of Gajapati, with people from all walks of life wishing them resounding success and a future filled with sporting glory.
