Polasara,(Anil Kumar Maharana):Polasara Police under Ganjam Police District have reportedly seized illegal guns and equipment required for gun-making during a raid at Bad Sahi in Sodak village . In this regard, at a press conference organized at Polasara police station in the presence of Polasara Police IIC Kaushik Majhi and Sub Inspector Milan Pradhan, Purushottam Pur Sub-Divisional Police Officer Sujit Kumar Nayak informed that during a special campaign conducted by Polasara police station to control crime and prevent illegal arms trafficking, on receiving information about illegal gun manufacturing at the house of Pratap Bhanja Samanta of Badasahi in Sodak village. Under the leadership of IIC Sri Majhi Polasara police raid the Pratap Bhanja Samanta’s house last Friday night and two country-made guns, one broken country-made gun, various tools and a large amount of gun manufacturing materials were seized. The police suspect that Pratap Bhanja Samanta is illegally manufacturing and trading country-made guns. Polasara police arrested Pratap Bhanja Samanta and registered a case under Case No. 443/26 at Polsara police station, Sub-Divisional Police Officer Sri Nayak said. IIC Shri Majhi announced that the accused Pratap Bhanj Samanta has been tried in court.
