Friends Helping Club Inspires Two Eye Donations in Two Consecutive Days

Brahmapur,(Anil Kumar): Friends Helping Club has begun the new year on a noble note by motivating two families to donate the eyes of their loved ones, giving the gift of sight to four individuals today and yesterday. The club motivated the family of Mrs. Jammula Padmabati (70 years), a resident of Sastri Nagar, Utkal Area, to donate her eyes. Dr. Bibekananda Sahu and Dr. Manish Oram from the Eye Department of MKCG Hospital collected the corneas at her residence this morning. The deceased Mrs. Padmabati is survived by her two sons, Manmadha Rao and Sarveswara Rao, and daughter, Mrs. Sudharani. On the fifth day of the year(yesterday), the club facilitated the eye donation of Mrs. V Jagadamba Raju (84 years), a resident of Housing Board Area. Dr. Alok Ranjan and Dr. Smitha Rani from the Eye Department of MKCG Hospital collected the corneas at her residence. Mrs. Raju is survived by her two sons, Prasant Kumar Raju and Raj Kumar Raju, and three daughters, Mrs. S Baijanti Mala, Mrs. T Rajeswari, and Mrs. Patnala Jysohna. Members of Friends Helping Club, including V Venkataratnam Raju, P Srinivasa Rao, P Srikant Senapati, J Nageswara Rao, and M Praveen, were present during both eye donations. The club expresses its deep gratitude to the doctors of MKCG Hospital for their timely presence and to the families for their selfless act of donating the eyes of their loved ones. This noble deed will give the gift of sight to two individuals, bringing joy and light into their lives.
