Bhubaneswar, Cognizant CEO S.Ravi Kumar,who has been honoured at Pradasi Bharatiya Divas held at Bhubaneswar,met Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi today.On the concluding day of the 3day of 18th Prabasi Bharatiya Divas,the CM and,both held discussion on developing Cognizant campus in Bhubaneswar as its biggest centre in India. The Chief Minister assured Ravi Kumar that the state government would allot suitable land in the capital city for development of Cognizant’s own campus and provide full cooperation for making it the biggest in India.During the discussion, Ravi Kumar expressed happiness over the growth of its centre in Bhubaneswar and expressed confidence that it would grow rapidly in next five years, a release from the Chief Minister’s Office said.The CM sought cooperation of the Cognizant CEO for bringing further investments in IT/ITeS sector to Odisha. Kumar expressed his readiness to provide all support to the endeavours of the state government for bringing more investments to Odisha and further developing the IT sector.The Chief Minister also congratulated Ravi Kumar on being honoured with the Pravasi Bhartiya Samman Award.Ravi born at Housing board colony near Nilakanthnagar in Berhampur did his schooling in Berhampur.He appeared the board exam at graduation at Bikram Dev college Jeypur in Koraput district before doing his MBA at Xavier at Bhubaneswar.Later he did his engineering degree at REC in Surat of Gujrat and served at various international companies including Infosys.His father S.Bhanuji rao was lecturer in Botany in Khalikote college in Berhampur and his younger brother is a Orthopedcian in England.
