Berhampur: In a shocking incident an aged couple reportedly ended their lives by consuming poison.The incident took place in Bedhapurnachandrapur village under Purusotompur PS limits in ganjam district today evening.The deceased couple has been identified as Ladu kishor moharana(61)and his wife Sajani moharana(57).The couple repotedly took loan from 7/8 private financing companies,since last couple of years,but couldnot repay the loans.The couple were under stress for the past one month as the company employees often asked them for repayment.The couple has three married daughters and a son who stays in Mumbai and the couple stays in the village.But none of them reportedly not cooperated the couple to repay the debts.Earlier Ladu used to earnby cultivating lands on lease,but since past some days Ladu was ailing due to continued stress,he couldnot work.As the staffs of company regularly reaches their home demanding for repayment,the couple pleaded for some more days.The staffs of finance company on monday reportedly asked the couple to pay,whatever possible today.Accordingly some staffs reached couples house in the evening today.They found the door of the house open and the couple lying on ground.Soon they raised an alram and receiving the information police reached the spot.Both the bodies were taken to Purusotompur hospital and the doctors declared both brought dead.Police suspects the couple consumed poison to end their lives and registered two UD cases 7/25 and 8/25.The bodies sent for autopsy.On being informed the district collector Dibyajyoti parida has directed the revenue officials to inquire into the deaths.
