Brahmapur: Golonthara police has arrested a youth from Chennai,who was wanted a murder case,but was absconding.Police said on 7/7/2025 one Dilip patra,a BJP activists of Snghabadi village was murdered brutaly.Police registered a murder case and during investigation ascertained that due to old animity two persons committed the murder.Two days after the murder on 9/7/2025,police arrested one Pitabasa sahu(26)for the killing,but his associate identified as Manash @ Kamana Gouda(24)was absconding.Soon after the murder,Manash escaped to Chennai to avoid arrest.However tracking his mobile phone,police gathered that Manas was present in Chennai.A team of Golonthara police rushed to Chennai on sunday and with the help of their Chennai counterpart arrested Manash.He was produced in a local court and and brought to Berhampur today morning.During interrogation Manash admitted his crime and basing on his statement police recovered the sword used in the murder.He has been forwarded to court today evening.
