Paralakhemundi,(Tarini Prasad Panda): Senior Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer and former Gajapati DFO Sangram Behera has been suspended by the Odisha Government in connection with the high-profile death case of ACF Soumyaranjan. The suspension was ordered on the directions of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi to facilitate a fair and impartial investigation.
Behera had surrendered before the SDJM Court, Paralakhemundi, on July 27. After his bail plea was rejected, he was remanded to judicial custody and is currently lodged in the Paralakhemundi Sub-Jail. The case has remained one of Odisha’s most closely watched investigations.
