Berhampur: One person died and another 12 persons injured in two separte road mishaps in Ganjam district during last 12 hours in Ganjam district.Sources said three persons on a car while were returning from Buguda to Berhampur,on late night on yesterday,the car hit a road side tree near Singipur chowk under Badagada PL limits.The locals informed the police about the mishap and soon police with fire fighters reached the spot.They rescued the three and took them to Badagada hospital.However doctors declared one of them brought dead and referred the other two to MKCG MCH.The deceased has been identified as Dipak behera(38).Police investigation is on.The second mishap took place at Kalinga ghat on Ganjam-Kandhamal district boarder at wee hours today,where in as many 10 passengers of a private bus were injured after the vehicle overturned.Sources said,private bus ‘Khambeswari’,from from Raipur of Chatisgarh while returning to Berhampur,the driver lost his control in a turning and overturned.On being informed Bhanjanagar police reached the spot and rescued the injured passengers and admitted to Bhanjanagar Hospital.Later two of them shifted to MKCG MCH.
