Digapahandi:In a shocking incident a 23 year old transgender allegedly committed suicide by hanging with a scarf around her neck at Phasiguda village under Digapahandi police station in Ganjam district today.The transgender has been identified as Archita Bisoi.Sources said,Archita participated in a Danda Nacha troup and performed last night in the village.later Archita took rest in a house in the village.Today morning,when the troup management members,knocked the door,there was no response.Suspecting something wrong,they broke open the door and were shocked to find Archita’s hanging body.Receiving the information,Digapahandi police reached the spot.The body was brought to Digapahandi hospital and sent for autopsy,when the doctors declared Archita brought dead.Police registered a UD case and started investigation.
