VASAN RECEIVED AWARD FROM PM

New Delhi:In a momentous occasion, Collector and District Magistrate of Koraput V Keerthi Vasan received the Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in Public Administration from the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi on Monday.V Keerthi Vasan, a 2018-batch IAS officer, has been serving as the Collector & District Magistrate of Koraput since his recent transfer and posting. Prior to this, he served as CDO-cum-EO, Zilla Parishad of Ganjam. His dedication and commitment to public service have earned him this prestigious recognition.
This prestigious award is a testament to Koraput district’s commitment to holistic development and innovative governance. Under Vasan’s stewardship, the district has made significant strides in healthcare, education, infrastructure development, and citizen engagement through the use of technology.
As an IAS officer, Vasan has demonstrated exceptional leadership and vision in his role as Collector and District Magistrate of Koraput. His efforts have brought pride to the district.The Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in Public Administration aims to promote excellence and innovation in governance. The award recognises Koraput district’s significant contributions to overall development, particularly in effectively implementing 11 central government schemes. By engaging with the public and showcasing its capabilities, the district administration has earned its place among the best districts in the country.
Earlier, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi had congratulated the Koraput district administration on being selected for the Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in Public Administration.Taking to his X handle, Majhi wrote: “Congratulations to @dmkoraput and their team on being selected for the Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in Public Administration 2024. Their exemplary work in holistic district development is truly commendable. May they continue to achieve bigger milestones and inspire others.”
