Paralakhemundi,(Tarini Prasad Panda):Following frequent complains,Gajapati administration started action against fire cracker outlets funcioned unlawfully in the palace town Paralakhemundi.Sources said,though the cracker outlets were given licence for a stipulated period during Dewali,still the outlets functioned throughout the year under the very nose of administration and police.Since the outlets exist in crowded areas,the residents apprehend untoward incidents.Of the 13 outlets in the town,while 12 has been permitted to open for 8 days during dewali,the rest one allowed till march 31.However,all the shops functioned and doing a brisk business.Sub-collector Anup panda with tehsildar Narayana behera and staffs of model police station raided on the fire cracker shops.While the team were busy in sealing two of the outlets,the owners of rest shops downed their shutter.However,the administration said such raids would continue.
