Paralakhemundi-At Gajapati district headquarter Collector Bijay Kumar Dash handed over Maharashtra couple a baby for adoption.Being 70th adoption that child rescued near Paralakhemundi railway station 3 months back.Later that child kept at Ranipentha rehabilitation centre.Through portal publicity forecasted as a result this couple showed interest for adoption.Since last 3 years they registered through online.After producing legal documents & proper verification Collector handed over the child.
Similarly for 71st adoption through portal publication one Gujarat couple showed their interest for adoption. One 11 years girl who had been under care & protection by Utkal Balashram rehabilitation centre of Paralakhemundi,handed over to the couple by Collector Gajapati after legal documents verification.
On both programs ADM Phalguni Majhi,CWC Chairman Aswini Kumar Mahapatra,DCPO Arun Kumar Tripathi,members of Child Protection Unit & rehabilitation centres staff of respective institutes were present.After receiving the baby both couples seemed happy.
