Gopalpur,(YNS): The two-day Amrit Kaal Cultural Festival was successfully concluded at Gopalpur Sea Beach under the aegis of the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, and organized by the Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre (EZCC), Kolkata.
The concluding ceremony was graced by Sri A. Janaki Ram, Chairman, Gopalpur NAC as the Chief Guest and Sri Saurav Pradhan, District Information & Public Relations Officer, Ganjam as guest of honour.
The Amrit Kaal Cultural Festival, initiated by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India with the support of the Ministry of Culture and the Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre, aims to promote the vision of a Developed India by showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the country. Through this platform, the classical and folk dance and music traditions of India and Odisha are being celebrated, while providing opportunities for local cultural groups of Odisha and Ganjam district to present their artistic excellence.
The two-day festival featured a vibrant array of traditional folk and classical performances, including, Bagha Nacha by Anurag Folk Dance Academy, Ganjam, Ranapa Dance accompanied by Jugal Shankha Vadya by Ganeshwar Group, Ganjam, Odissi Dance by Nrutyankita, Bhubaneswar, Dhemsa Dance by Nrutyansi Academy, Ganjam, Odissi Dance by Deba kala Patyansa, Ganjam, Dhumpa Dance by Dadhi vamana Dhumpa Sangeet Group, Ganjam.
The Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre also provided financial assistance to participating artist groups.
The initiative of EZCC, Kolkata, to encourage and support artists of Ganjam district received active cooperation from the Ganjam District Administration.
On this occasion, eminent Gurus were also felicitated in recognition of their contribution to the field of culture.
The programme was coordinated by Sri Jayadeep Ghosh and Sri Krishna Saroj from the Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre. Ms. Sindhu Brown anchored the event, while Sri Bibhu Prasad Mishra managed the overall event operations.
